You will deliver 1:1 and small group teaching using an evidence-based curriculum rooted in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Verbal Behaviour. Your role will involve designing and implementing personalised learning programmes to support pupils’ communication, independence, and social skills. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality 1:1 ABA/VB tuition and small-group work Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team—teachers, clinicians, therapists—to develop and monitor pupil goals Contribute to positive behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and data collection Use positive reinforcement strategies and error reduction techniques to promote engagement and learning Implement de-escalation strategies and, where necessary, apply Team Teach techniques per policy Participate in ongoing professional development and training (e.g., Team Teach, VB, ABA refresher courses) You Will Bring Training in ABA/VB (formal qualification or strong practical experience) Experience working with children with autism (in educational or home settings preferred) Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships Strong communication abilities—including use of alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, visual supports) A team-player attitude, aligned with values that champion safe, understanding, patient, enthusiastic, and respectful approaches Benefits to YOU: Excellent rates of pay Direct links to local schools Training support sessions.
