Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is looking for a purpose-driven, ambitious Teaching Assistant (LSA or qualified TA) to join our partner primary schools in Woolton. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to support students’ learning, contribute to their development, and build a fulfilling career in education.

About the Role: 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to support classroom learning, particularly for students who need additional help. You’ll provide targeted support to ensure every learner can access the curriculum and thrive in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support Learning: Work one-to-one or with small groups to help students understand lesson content and stay engaged.
  • Promote Inclusion: Support students with additional needs, including SEN, ensuring they feel confident and included in classroom activities.
  • Assist Teachers: Help with classroom management, resource preparation, and lesson delivery as directed by the class teacher.
  • Encourage Progress: Motivate students and reinforce positive behaviour and learning attitudes.
  • Safeguard Students: Prioritise student welfare and follow all safeguarding protocols.
  • Monitor & Report: Observe and record student progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff to support individual learning plans.
  • Adapt Approaches: Modify support strategies based on individual student needs and teacher guidance.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (or similar role) in a primary school setting is essential
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with a positive and professional attitude
