Job Description
Milk Education are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Newcastle who are seeking a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey. You will be joining a supportive school environment where children’s well-being and development are at the heart of everything they do.
Nursery Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.

Provide nurturing care and encouragement to children in the Nursery setting.

Assist with the day-to-day running of the classroom, including setting up and tidying away resources.

Promote positive behaviour and social skills through play and structured activities.

Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring the well-being of all children.
Nursery Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception) is highly desirable.

A relevant qualification in childcare or Early Years (Level 2/3) would be an advantage but is not essentialÂ

A caring, patient, and flexible approach.

Ability to work well as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.

An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
