Milk Education is working with secondary schools across North Walesto recruit confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to deliver engaging lessons and keep students on track in the absence of their regular teachers.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll manage full classrooms across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials. Your focus will be on maintaining a positive learning environment, encouraging pupil participation, and supporting behaviour for learning.

This is an ideal position if you’re looking to build classroom experience or gain insight before moving into teaching or education training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise full classes during teacher absences
  • Deliver pre-set lessons and manage classroom behaviour
  • Ensure pupils stay on task and complete assigned work
  • Report any concerns or incidents to senior staff
  • Contribute to a positive and focused classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. in education, coaching, mentoring, or youth work)
  • Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and calm under pressure
  • Interest in working with secondary-aged students
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
