Essential Requirements:

  • Must be Registered Nurse (Adult) Level 1 with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), holding a valid, in-date Personal Identification Number (PIN), and not subject to restrictions of practice.
  • Must hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance.
  • Minimum of two years post-registration experience in Primary Healthcare (PHC) practice.
  • At least one year in a Band 6 or higher grade within the last three years in a PHC setting.
  • Up-to-date training in Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, AED, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Level 2.
  • Provide certificates or proof of clinical competency for immunisation, venepuncture, travel health, minor injuries, minor illnesses, child health, cervical cytology, and mentorship/support training, as applicable.

  • Flexible and proactive approach.
  • Part of a multidisciplinary team in well-equipped medical or dental centres or rehabilitation units, valued as part of the Defence Medical Services.
  • Deliver professional and personal care consistently.
  • Work with military personnel on Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force bases to provide high-standard care for service members and families (location-dependent).
