Milford Rail & Engineering Services are currently supporting a well-established main contractor in their search for an experienced Track / Civils CEM (Contractor's Engineering Manager) to join their team in Kent. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring engineering excellence, safety, and compliance across major rail infrastructure projects.
The Role
As a CEM, you will take full responsibility for engineering delivery within your discipline, ensuring all works are planned, managed, and executed in line with industry standards and project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the appointed Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) for track and/or civil engineering works
- Providing technical leadership and assurance across project delivery
- Ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards and relevant legislation
- Managing engineering interfaces and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Reviewing and approving designs, methodologies, and technical submissions
- Supporting project teams with risk management and technical problem-solving
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current Authorisation as a CEM in Track and/or Civil Engineering
