Milford RES are working with a major infrastructure project in Chester and are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Pipelines Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of a major carbon capture scheme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pipelines professional to join a significant, long-term infrastructure project with a strong focus on underground installations and complex pipeline works.

The Role

As Senior Pipelines Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and delivery leadership across pipeline and underground installation works. The role will suit an experienced engineer operating at Sub Agent or equivalent level, with a strong background in pipeline construction and utilities infrastructure. You will work closely with the wider project team, contractors and site management to ensure pipeline works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality and programme standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage pipeline and underground installation activities on site.
  • Provide engineering expertise across complex pipeline and utilities works.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams and the wider project delivery team.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality and compliance with project specifications.
  • Support the planning and sequencing of pipeline installation works.
  • Identify and resolve technical and construction issues.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering and construction teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and contribute to project reporting and progress reviews.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Pipelines Engineer with extensive experience delivering pipelines and underground installations on major infrastructure projects. You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in pipeline construction and installation.
  • Strong experience working with underground utilities and associated infrastructure.
  • Experience at Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or equivalent level.
  • A strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and site delivery.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of pipeline work packages.

Carbon capture experience would be highly desirable, but is not essential. Candidates with a strong background in utilities, energy, water, gas or other major pipeline infrastructure will also be considered.
