Milford Del Support Services is growing, and we’re looking for experienced and compassionate Complex Care Support Workers to join our dedicated teams across the Isle of Wight. About the Role
As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex physical, behavioural, emotional, and mental health needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct, hands‑on support with daily living activities
- Supporting individuals with personal care where required
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
- Following individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
- Supporting individuals to participate in meaningful activities
- Monitoring wellbeing and accurately recording observations and incidents
- Supporting individuals during times of distress using appropriate and trained approaches
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and healthcare professionals
- Maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring safeguarding is always prioritised
This role requires patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to providing safe, consistent, and compassionate care.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care or support role (complex care experience preferred)
- A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, and policies
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care
- Willingness to complete training and ongoing professional development
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with individuals with complex behaviours or additional needs
- Experience in supported living, residential care, or community care
- Relevant care qualification (e.g. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care)
