About Us
Alexandra House is a 7 flat property centrally located in the historic tree lined village of Norton, close to bus routes including Darlington, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Billingham, Stockton and Hartlepool. Each flat has its own front door, full fitted kitchen and bathroom, and French doors off the living area. This home offers the option of solo occupancy, giving people their own private space with the reassurance of support close by. Each self-contained house includes a comfortable lounge, kitchen area, bedroom, and bathroom, designed to help people live more independently in a calm, safe environment.
The Role

This role encompasses a range of tasks dependent on the client’s needs including:
- Monitoring, recording, and administering medication
- Light household chores
- Assistance with mobility and personal care
- Assistance with shopping
- Food preparation
- Providing companionship
Working as a Support Worker means no two days are the same as you will be supporting our residents with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You may get involved in exciting activities outside of the home too.
No prior experience is needed, as we will give you all the tools you'll need to excel in this role. All you need to bring is a hardworking, compassionate nature and a positive can-do attitude.
