Could you be the steady, uplifting presence someone is looking for?
- We’re looking for a brilliant
- Senior Support Worker to join our established team at
Cleveland Villa .
This is a role for someone who can lead with kindness, bring reassurance when it matters most, and help create a home where the person we support can live life his way.
Meet Cleveland Villa
Cleveland Villa is a supported living home for a friendly gentleman who enjoys spending time with people — whether that’s friends, family or the team supporting him.
He is thoughtful, emotionally aware and can be sensitive to the feelings of others, so he thrives with people who are calm, consistent, reassuring and positive.
Some days are made for getting out and about, trying new activities and enjoying fresh experiences.
Other days are quieter, home-based days where his own space matters.
The right person will be happy to join in, encourage independence and adventure, and also recognise when it’s time to slow things down and respect his choices.
Most importantly, he is looking for someone caring, dependable and committed — someone who will help him feel safe, supported and confident to live a happy, fulfilled life on his terms.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be a trusted lead on shift — supporting the gentleman who lives at Cleveland Villa, guiding Support Workers, and helping the service run smoothly.
You’ll balance hands‑on, person‑centred support with clear leadership, good communication and high standards of care.
Your day-to-day could include
- Leading by example and creating a calm, positive atmosphere.
- Supporting daily routines, activities, personal care and independence.
- Encouraging confidence, choice and new experiences — while respecting quieter days too.
- Administering medication safely and keeping accurate records.
- Completing daily reports and ensuring effective handovers between shifts.
- Supporting and supervising Support Workers, including observations and supervisions.
- Delegating tasks appropriately and making sure key tasks are completed.
- Working closely with the local management team and reporting concerns to the Registered Manager.
- Attending and contributing to staff meetings and training sessions.
- Providing sleep‑in cover or night shifts where required.
- What we’re looking for
Essential
Previous experience in a senior support role, or a similar role where you have supported others and taken the lead.
Desirable
A relevant care qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
You’ll stand out if you are
- A confident communicator who can build trust with the person we support, families and colleagues.
- A natural team player who can motivate, guide and support others.
- Organised, reliable and able to keep accurate records.
- Comfortable administering medication and using care‑related equipment safely.
- A positive problem‑solver who can stay calm when situations change.
And at heart, you’ll be someone who is
- Kind, patient and compassionate.
- Dependable, consistent and emotionally aware.
- Respectful of choice, dignity and independence.
- Resilient, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
- A positive role model who brings energy, encouragement and care to every shift.
No two days are the same.
One day you might be supporting activities in the community; another day you might be helping create a peaceful, reassuring home environment.
Whatever the day brings, you’ll be helping someone live with more confidence, independence and joy.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive annual leave that increases with length of service.
- Flexible working to support a healthy work/life balance.
- Pension scheme with auto‑enrolment.
- Employee Assistance Programme, including 24/7 mental health support, counselling and GP access.
- Lifestyle savings across supermarkets, high street shops, utilities and more.
- Discounted health cash plan.
- Holiday purchase scheme — buy up to one extra week.
- Company events.
- £500 welcome bonus upon successful completion of probation.
- Plus much more.
