Court View is situated in the quiet village of Pucklechurch. It is a comfortable home to four adults who have learning disabilities and brain injury. Staff support people with other health conditions such as Epilepsy, Diabetes and Autism. People we support are looking for reliable, understanding and patient people to join their small team of Support Workers.

The home is spacious and has a medium sized garden. Staff build close relationships with people we support so they can offer person-centred care. Staff organise activities in the community that are tailored to individual interests such as Castle Combe Race days, Willow Trust boat trips, steam train visits and shopping trips to Cheddar and garden centres. In house activities involve board games, puzzles, arts and crafts. We enter competitions such as the Scarecrow trail and the Gingerbread trail. Two individuals also go on holiday with family members throughout the year.

Staff lone work at the service on Sunday and Friday’s, the shift cover is9am-5pm and 5pm-9am. The remaining days of the week there are 2 staff on day shifts. The Early shift is 8:30am-5pm and the mid shift is 10am-5.30pm. The sleep-in shift every day is lone working from 5.30pm to 9am the following morning.

There is a core staff member on duty 24 hours per day and each person we support has their own individual 1-1 hours.

The successful Support Worker will:

  • Have a UK driving licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature.
  • Be able to support people with their personal hygiene needs and have some understanding of non-verbal communication.
  • Be an enthusiastic and energetic member of the team.
