An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Milestones Trust as our Operational Systems Lead. We’re looking for a forward-thinking and tech-savvy individual to lead the daily management, technical support, and development of operational systems across the Trust. This is a key role in our digital transformation journey, ensuring our systems are fit for purpose, compliant, and aligned with the evolving needs of our services and the organisation. Additionally, that staff feel capable and confident to use these systems.
You’ll work closely with System Owners, operational teams, IT, and senior leaders to support the effective use of technology, identify future system needs, and explore new and emerging technologies—including assistive technologies and business intelligence tools.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the daily administration, troubleshooting and development of operational systems that support service delivery and strategic goals.
- Delivering training and support to staff to ensure confident use of systems.
- Supporting the transition from legacy systems to modern, efficient technologies.
- Identifying and implementing assistive technology solutions that improve outcomes for the people we support.
- Ensuring systems are compliant with GDPR and regulatory standards (e.g., CQC, RIDDOR, Data Protection).
- Collaborating with IT and other departments to identify infrastructure and equipment needs.
- Staying up to date with emerging tech trends and assessing their relevance to our services and organisation.
- Working with managers and departments to monitor compliance and support service improvement.
- Using remote collaboration tools effectively as part of our hybrid working model.
