We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team at Greengates! Greengates is a residential service, providing nursing care and support for people with enduring mental health needs. We support our residents to maintain their skills and help them to lead a life which is meaningful to them. The people we support are encouraged to have an input into how the home is run. There is a choice of meals each day and residents help to cook dinner once a week.
We are looking for an experienced cook to work alongside our established team and deliver a catering service for the home that is safe, healthy and nutritious, meeting the needs of individual service users, while remaining within budget. The successful candidate will be calm, well-organised, able to plan and cook a variety of meals to suit a variety of diets and have a flexible approach which is responsive to service users’ needs. You will be enthusiastic about food, have sound knowledge of nutritional needs and some experience of catering for special diets would be advantageous.
