We’re here to support people with the services they tell us they want and need, creating an environment that considers the views of both the people we support and the people important to them. At Mortimer House, we have a large, dedicated staff team who are well regarded and commended by relatives, who trust the team to ensure their loved one is well looked after. The home is a busy and fast-paced environment where we support up to 21 people with Learning Disabilities, Dementia and Sensory Impairments and people with complex needs in regards to eating and drinking, mobility and emotional wellbeing. Our residents are supported to lead the care they receive and live as independently as possible.
As a Housekeeper, you will ensure that the environment at Mortimer House is kept clean and tidy, working in line with regulations and agreed safe systems. You will become familiar with the people we support and their care needs and preferences. You will complete a range of daily tasks such as cleaning bedrooms and communal spaces, and checking fridges and temperatures.
The successful housekeeper will have great communication skills, with the ability to communicate with team members, people we support and a range of stakeholders. Shift pattern (starting between 07:00 and 08:00 each shift) to be discussed with Ancillary Manager. These shifts are fairly set and regular, however flexibility is required in case of changes.
