Milestone Brewery is an independent craft brewery located in the Greater Nottingham area, dedicated to producing high-quality, characterful beers. Applications are invited for the position of Head Brewer within a successful established Brewery, to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our brewing operations. Applicants must have proven brewing experience, and experience of managing a successful brewery and brewing team. A formal qualification is preferred. Candidates must possess strong leadership and communication skills, who can develop and support our Brewery team. Experience of working to SALSA/SALSA plus beer standards is essential, and a working knowledge of Breww would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for:
- Managing the day-to-day running of brewery operations and production
- Developing and enhancing recipes of core and seasonal brews
- Ability to keep all records to SALSA standards
- Quality control
- Staff training and development
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and followed
- Review efficiency, procedures and protocols
Requirements:
- Passionate, energetic, organised and excellent communication skills
- Fully fit as heavy lifting will be required
- Attention to detail, positive attitude and outlook
- Driving licence
