Head of Investor Relations & Capital Raising – Specialty Finance / Asset-Backed Credit Fund – London

We are currently working with a fast-growing speciality finance / asset-backed credit fund who focus on bridge financing and second charge lending within the European credit space. The fund has amassed an impressive track-record of lending over €2.5bn since inception, put to work through sophisticated loan solutions underpinned by real assets that pay running yield and with low default rates.

The Head of IR / Capital Raising role would play an integral role in the development of the fund’s investment products, the institutional investor servicing and LP engagement. The managing partners of the fund have lofty ambitions of being a diversified private credit manager operating within higher margin performing credit sub-sectors and this role would lead the strategic approach in structuring and executing that approach and the positioning with LPs.

This is a first-time appointment for the Head of IR/Capital Raising role so the successful candidate will have carte-blanche responsibility to sculpt the IR/Fundraising practice in their image.

We view the ideal candidate having strong knowledge of private credit and of the nascent trends forming in the sector, institutional fundraising experience with relationships with Insurers and Pension funds in EMEA and the ability to manage, from start to finish, a comingled fundraise working alongside a placement agent. The ideal candidate will also match the below criteria/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in investor relations or a private capital advisory role with experience raising private credit funds
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise time-sensitive tasks
  • EQ and the ability to manage upwards in a lean organisation
  • Strong relationship-building, organisational, and communication skills.
