We are partnered with a top-quartile mid-market private equity firm to support the expansion of their Investor Relations team with the appointment of a Principal focused on Institutional Fundraising. The firm specialises in investing in and acquiring high-quality mid-market companies across a broad range of industries, leveraging deep sector expertise within their investment team. They take a hands-on, active approach to working alongside growth partners throughout the investment lifecycle by combining capital and operational know-how. To date, the firm has consistently delivered transformational growth for its portfolio companies, achieving exceptional returns and realised exits with a track record of DPI.

As the firm prepares to launch new vintages of its flagship private equity strategy, expand its private credit offering, and explore complementary asset classes aligned with its investment philosophy, they are seeking a Principal to lead institutional fundraising efforts across EMEA and potentially other regions.

The Investor Relations team is already well-structured, featuring a best-in-class investor servicing and project management function to support fundraising professionals. This newly created role aims to expand the firm’s in-house fundraising capacity and engage with a broader base of institutional investors, primarily in EMEA, while laying the groundwork for future global coverage expansion.

Additionally, the Principal will play a strategic role in shaping product positioning for future fund vehicles, informed by LP developments and regional buying behaviours. This position can be based in London or one of the firm’s European offices.

Candidate Skills, Experience, and Personal Attributes:

  • Over 10 years of experience in fundraising within a GP, placement agent, private capital advisory team in an investment bank, or secondaries/fund of funds investor.
  • Proven track record of raising capital for private equity, private credit, infrastructure, or real estate strategies.
  • Strong network of C-level relationships with institutional LPs responsible for investment decisions.
  • A solutions-oriented approach to engaging a diverse range of investors, with a deep understanding of LP buying behaviours and emerging themes in private capital.
  • Executive-level presence and exceptional communication skills.
