We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a thriving special needs school located in the B33/B36 area. This is your chance to support children with physical disabilities and help them reach their full potential in a nurturing, structured environment.

Position Details

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Salary: £26,000 pro rata
Type: Temporary / Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and group support for students with physical disabilities
Assist in implementing educational and care plans tailored to individual needs
Encourage student engagement through adaptive and accessible learning strategies
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom
Contribute to a positive and respectful learning environment

Requirements

Previous experience in a SEND or specialist education setting is preferred
Confident supporting children with physical disabilities
A proactive and empathetic approach to challenges
Ability to collaborate effectively with a wider team
DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
