Shout out to the transactional Finance Assistants and Credit Controllers out there, this one could be for you and what a treat you will have working with your new boss! Im lucky to work with great clients but I have never laughed so much recently during the briefing for your new position. You will undoubtedly work hard in this busy finance team, but you will also have fun along the way, plus team socials and other treats. Your new role as Credit Controller will see you playing a key part of the companys Revenue Team, ensuring efficient and accurate credit control processes are maintained, as well as: Sales Ledger Support: Managing and maintaining reconciliations, contracts and fee terms. Income Reconciliation: Assisting in monthly income reconciliations to meet timetables. Debt Management: Issuing reminders and action notices to debtors, working in line with credit control policies. Customer Relations: Developing positive relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and regular communication on overdue accounts. Bank Reconciliation: Using the finance system to post receipts, reconcile customer accounts, and handle bank statements. Query Resolution: Managing a shared inbox, addressing customer queries, invoice requests, and statements promptly and professionally. Bad Debt Monitoring: Reviewing accounts for potential bad debt and reporting to your manager. To succeed in your new position, you will need to; ideally have some Credit Control experience already, but as a bare minimum strong Finance Assistant experience supporting Credit Control with proven and excellent reconciliation skills will be great. be numerate and have a high level of attention to detail. be confident using in MS Office, particularly Excel and also finance systems. have strong experience with finance administrative duties, with a focus on reconciliation and data analysis. have some experience in a high-transactional business. last but not least your positive personality and attitude is what will stand you out from the crowd.
