Our Sales team is growing, and we are excited to welcome a talented Senior Business Development Manager – EHV Metered Connections to join us. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and converting new pipeline opportunities and enquiries. You will work to secure assets for the business to design, build, own, and operate within agreed commercial parameters, ensuring that all activity supports both commercial success and long-term value. A central part of the role is delivering an exceptional customer experience through clear communication, consistent and reliable service, meaningful value creation, and the successful delivery of each project from initial enquiry through to completion.
We’re looking for the successful candidate to be based at one of our offices in Stonehouse (Gloucestershire), London, Warrington or Hamilton (Glasgow).
Your responsibilities as a Senior Business Development Manager – EHV Metered Connections:
- Generate and Develop New Business Opportunities - Proactively identify, build, and progress new pipeline opportunities with both new and existing clients, using internal systems to record activity and convert interest into formal enquiries or quotation requests.
- Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships - Develop trust‐based customer relationships through consistent, proactive communication, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the engagement process.
- Manage Enquiries and Lead the Quotation Process - Validate formal enquiries, understand client requirements, and prepare high‐level budget quotations to support feasibility studies. Create project references in simPRO and instruct Technical Coordinators and Designers to begin the quotation process.
- Issue, Review, and Negotiate Proposals - Issue formal quotations and letters of offer, follow up within 48 hours for feedback, and lead discussions to review proposals, clarify details, and negotiate terms. Coordinate requotes with design and estimating teams, including LMAM involvement when required.
- Oversee Contract Acceptance and Internal Communication - Acknowledge signed contracts, communicate next steps to clients, and distribute acceptance updates and documentation to relevant internal stakeholders to ensure alignment as projects move forward.
- Lead Handover and Project Initiation Activities - Arrange and lead Winners Meetings within 48 hours of contract acceptance to brief teams and address queries, completing an effective handover to Design Approval and Operations to initiate project delivery.
Experience:
- Experience in a similar B2B role ideally with a tracked record of working with Large Scale EHV and I&C projects.
- Experienced at successfully managing a portfolio of customers with full account management.
- Evidence of previous sales positions and targets achieved.
- EHV Connections Experience.
- ICP/IDNO experience or sales experience into the EHV metered connections.
