Our Field Services team is expanding, and we are pleased to welcome a proactive and capable Field Services Operator (Meter Reader) to support our continued growth.
As a Field Services Operator (Meter Reader), you will be based in Manchester and will travel to sites across England and Wales. Your role will be varied, with responsibilities ranging from automated and manual meter readings to conducting inspections, investigating faults and installing or troubleshooting remote monitoring equipment. You will also play an important role in identifying and documenting why certain meters fail to connect to the AMR system, helping us maintain the high levels of quality and reliability our customers expect.

Responsibilities as a Field Services Operator (Meter Reader)
- Capture meter readings using automated AMR systems and conduct manual readings where required.
- Identify, investigate and report issues such as non-connecting meters, anomalies and faulty equipment, escalating when necessary.
- Complete meter-related tasks including serial number checks, logging updates and carrying out meter exchanges.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot and arrange maintenance for remote pressure and flow monitoring equipment while maintaining accurate operational records.
- Uphold Health & Safety standards by following all procedures, using appropriate PPE and proactively reporting hazards, near misses or incidents.
Experience / Knowledge
- Basic mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
