Commercial Assistant – Hamilton, Glasgow

As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team with accurate financial, contractual and administrative activity across a range of projects.
You will be involved in procurement, cost control and reporting, while also gaining hands on experience in subcontract management and variations.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in finance support, commercial administration or a similar role, along with confidence using Excel.

Your responsibilities as a Commercial Assistant
- Raise purchase orders and work orders, maintain accurate commercial data and keep key databases up to date.
- Produce reports, manage commercial trackers and provide information to support monthly reporting.
- Support the commercial shared inbox, change control processes and the preparation of construction variations.
- Assist with subcontract management, including liabilities, accruals, applications for payment, approvals and payment notices.
- Support customer variation tracking, budget updates in the ERP system and wider commercial team activity as required.
Experience / Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Previous experience in a commercial or finance support role would be advantageous but not essential
