Contribute to LMAM’s overall business strategy and annual budget setting.
Act as the primary advisor to the Board on all matters relating to LMAM heat assets.
Develop and control budgets to manage resource and capacity.
Evaluate and report on operational performance by ensuring key data and metrics are captured and analysed as required.
Develop and implement a technical oversight regime that ensures that fit for purpose high quality heat assets are adopted and subsequently owned and managed by Last Mile Group.
Proactively identify and mitigate areas of risk and/or inefficiency.
Contribute to the development and implementation of future development strategy for heat networks growth.
Develop, test and support the implementation of LMAM’s capability for adopting new heat assets covering aspects such as design, construction, commissioning and adoption, including but not limited to identifying and securing the right commercial arrangements, resources, systems, technical and operational standards, and procedures.
Develop, implement, and manage LMAM’s capability for asset operation and maintenance including but not limited to identifying and securing the right commercial arrangements, resources, systems, technical and operational standards, and procedures.
Inspire, motivate, manage, and oversee team members to drive LMAM actions forward.
Communicate LMAM’s objectives clearly throughout all Last Mile Group organisations and ensure all team members involved are demonstrably competent to carry out their roles in accordance with Last Mile Group and prevailing industry standards.
Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, including ensuring regulatory reporting obligations are met and submitted in a timely manner.
Construction or engineering background.
Experience in a senior leadership position.
Exceptional knowledge of core operational functions and principles, including commercial, logistics, engineering, and employee management.
Proven ability to analyse, manage and improve existing operational processes and systems for maximum efficiency, productivity, and resilience.
Working knowledge of construction industry regulations and legislation.
Demonstrable experience of delivering process change and of continuous improvement.
Utilities experience, in particular with independent licensed utility operators, would be viewed positively, though is not essential.
Highly numerate with experience of setting and owning budgets.
An ambitious professional who is motivated to take ownership of tasks and the development of new processes and systems required to take LMAM through the next stage of significant growth.
