Role summary

Are you a creative, inspiring, and dynamic Teacher of MFL or are you looking to start your career in this specialism? Are you a dual linguist with both French and Spanish? Then Mildenhall College Academy may be able to give you the opportunity you are looking for. The department is looking for a Teacher of MFL to help inspire our students and ensure they reach their full potential. This is a fixed term contract ending 31 August 2027. Mildenhall College Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate fixed term Teacher of MFL - French and Spanish, to join our fantastic faculty, and forward thinking, modern school. You will be motivated to strive to be your best and have an obvious desire to educate the next generation. You will be dynamic and inspirational in the classroom, with the ambition to consistently challenge yourself to be the best you can be.

This role would suit an experienced teacher looking to progress their career, or an innovative ECT looking for their first teaching role. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive team; there is a very strong commitment to improving standards. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by our teaching and learning team including Lead Practitioners and a strong SLT.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality MFL teaching in French and Spanish to a diverse student cohort.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support school improvement and share best practice.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and aspirational school culture.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school CPD and development opportunities.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have suitability to teach MFL (French and Spanish) and be committed to professional development. Applications from ECTs are welcomed. The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS criminal record check, and online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2025.
