This is a part-time role based at Milborne Port and the Templecombe branch. You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping them access the right care and supporting the smooth running of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and respond to online patient requests
- Help patients with appointments, results, referrals, and general queries
- Welcome and assist patients at the reception desk
- Use clinical systems (training provided) to manage patient information and bookings
- Handle emails, post, and general admin tasks
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure reception area
- Support clinicians with tasks such as contacting patients
- Follow strict confidentiality and data protection procedures
- Open/close the surgery when required
- A degree of flexibility is essential to provide cover for holidays and sickness.
Experience:
Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check
