We’re looking for two Sales Negotiators to join the Milbank team, based at our Earls Colne site. If you’re target-driven, confident communicating with customers, and enjoy building strong relationships, we’d love to hear from you. Construction industry sales experience is a bonus - but not essential.
Milbank Concrete Products Limited is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precast concrete products in Earls Colne, Essex. The company prides itself on providing comprehensive and professional services throughout the design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation processes. Milbank specialises in floor products such as Pre-stressed Hollowcore Floors, Pre-stressed Beam & Block Floors, and Insulated Ground Floors. Additionally, the company offers bespoke precast concrete solutions, including stair flights, landings, balconies, ground beams, terrace units, and spiral stairs. Customers range from large national home builders through to self-builders.
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Negotiator role based in Earls Colne, Colchester. The role involves managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and facilitating smooth transactions related to the sales of Milbank’s precast concrete products. Responsibilities include engaging prospective customers, delivering exceptional customer service, and working closely with various teams to ensure client requirements are met effectively. The Sales Negotiator will also be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and achieving sales targets.
Core Responsibilities:- Contact clients by phone or email to follow up on quotations with a view to securing orders for Milbank.
- Ensure internal systems are updated accordingly with accurate and current information.
- Negotiate with customers - listen to objections, understand requirements, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Develop relationships with key customers, influencers, and decision-makers within the construction industry.
- Use Milbank’s bespoke pricing software to review and amend quotations in line with company processes.
- Perform other tasks and duties as reasonably requested by the Sales Office Manager.
- Work closely with Estimators, Technical and Production teams to ensure smooth customer experience.
- Share feedback and insights with internal departments to improve service levels and client satisfaction.
- Achieving and exceeding sales conversion targets from quotations.
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
- Timely and accurate updating of CRM and pricing systems.
- Professional and confident communication, both written and verbal.
- Diligent and proactive in following up quotations and capturing feedback.
- Positive, “can-do” attitude and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
- Reasonable level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite; training provided for in-house systems.
- Construction industry knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and remain organized.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year. We have two Sales Negotiator roles - a permanent role and also a 9 month contract role.
