We run a book club that started among friends and has somehow evolved into a genuinely brilliant community. The club was founded by people working at the highest levels of deep tech and finance — including places like Jane Street, NVIDIA and OpenAI — and has grown into a network of founders, investors, researchers, creatives and generally curious people who care about books, ideas and good conversation.
We’re looking for someone sharp, organised, culturally switched-on and socially confident to help us grow it into its next chapter. The role is part community-building, part operations, part literary concierge, part creative growth.
You’d be:
- helping manage and grow the community
- sending books to members and keeping operations running smoothly
- speaking with members and building relationships
- helping shape events, discussions and the overall culture of the club
- running social media and helping define the club’s voice online
- leading outreach to interesting prospective members, collaborators and communities
- helping expand the club from something friends built into something much bigger
You should probably:
- love books, ideas and culture
- be extremely organised without feeling corporate
- have excellent judgement and taste
- enjoy meeting ambitious, intellectually curious people
- be a strong writer and communicator
- understand internet culture and social media instinctively
- feel comfortable around people in tech, finance and startup worlds
- be based in London
This is ideal for someone smart, proactive and culturally literate — the kind of person who knows what everyone should read next, and also knows how to build the kind of community people genuinely want to belong to.
If interested, send us a note about yourself, what you’re reading at the moment, and why this sounds fun to you.
