MIKI Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation. We bring incoming tourists from Japan and South East Asia to Europe, more recently expanding to cover wider inbound markets, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.
About the Department
Within the Hotel Operations Division, the Ad Hoc Department handles many different kinds of groups from all over the world travelling around Europe. Each request is 'unique', with a different itinerary, purpose, and size. The department handles the whole booking process and each staff has their own areas of responsibilities as well as supporting the rest of the team as and when needed.
Job Purpose
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Hotel Operation Agent within our Ad hoc Department to support the handling of high-profile tours. This section of the department focuses on groups of high revenue and/or value for the company, most of the time with banqueting, conference or other complex services requested. This includes dealing with VIP and MICE bookings.
Main Responsibilities
- Ownership of already confirmed groups, handling any changes on the room breakdown or confirming/amending/cancelling any extra services requested under each booking.
- Inputting and ensuring accuracy of rates in our in-house system for every service confirmed.
- Negotiating other conditions such as payment and cancellation policies, room adjustments and upgrades.
- Ensuring timely and accurate communication of rooming lists, arrival times, meal requirements and any other service ahead of the booking’s arrival.
- Handling of any claims from clients or hotels during or after the stay.
- Prioritising own workload according to deadlines, arrival dates, etc and as based on the hotel or clients’ requests.
- Occasional on-the-spot support for the most high-profile clients may be required.
