MCR are currently recruiting for a MMA (Stick) Welder Fabricator for our client based in Lye, Stourbridge. Please note: This position will involve working in the workshop and working on-site in various locations around the UK.
Must be:
- Competent in MMA (stick) welding.
- Able to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Experienced in steel fabrication and the manufacture of components from drawings.
- Previous experience working with structural steelwork and industrial pipework.
- Must provide and use their own welding PPE.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport, with the ability to travel to various sites.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team while also being confident working independently.
- Capable of managing and completing small projects and site works with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills:
- Competent in TIG and MIG welding.
- Own fabrication and hand tools.
- Experience working on industrial mechanical installations, plant rooms, process pipework, or similar engineering environments.
Ideally will have:
- CSCS - any standard
- Weld codes
- IPAF licence
- FLT licence
