MCR are currently recruiting for an experienced Steel Partitioner to join our busy client who are expanding their manufacturing and installation team.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Installing steel partitioning onsite in factories and warehouses
  • Speaking to the customer to ensure customer satisfaction during installation
  • Working from drawings to ensure accurate installation
  • Ensuring the safe use of electrical equipment such as drills and other power tools
  • Working as part of a team, usually 2 people, travelling to different customer locations
  • Completing work in the required timescales
  • Quality checking each project before finalisation and enabling customer sign-off

Ideal candidate

  • Have experience working on construction sites with different tools
  • Have strong customer service skills working with different types of customers
  • Have held a full UK driving licence for 3 years
  • Be hard working and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Preferably hold IPAF and PASMA licences and a CSCS card

This role is suited to someone who wants to progress their career through either managing a team of fitters or moving into an office-based role when they have learnt about the product over the next 2-3 years so needs someone with that level of ambition and ability. The role is also suited to someone who prefers the job security and career progression of a permanent role rather than subcontractor work.

Rate of pay depending on experience: £15ph – £17ph to start.

Start and finish times vary due to job location.
