We are pleased to be seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a leading Contractor based in Dorset, who have an excellent reputation for delivering prestigious projects across the retail, hospitality and commercial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking, ambitious team of people and build a career with a first-class reputation of delivering projects ranging from 1 – 20 million pounds. If you are an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking for your new role, this could be ideal for you and we are interested in considering anyone who has experience from working with a main contractor.
Main Duties:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Prepare costings, valuations and estimating and forecasting
- Negotiate final accounts
- Contract administration
- Manage projects during the pre-construction phases
- Build relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Other relevant duties as required
Requirements:
- Sound working knowledge of managing multiple projects under JCT design and build contracts, ideally in refurbishment or new build
- Excellent communication
- A form of qualification in construction or quantity surveying
- Familiarity with managing costing and budgets
- Strong negotiation skills
