Our client, a well-established leading building contractor, has an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Manager/ Quantity Surveyor to join their busy, successful construction business. With offices based in Verwood, they provide accredited building services to clients throughout the corporate, commercial and public sectors.
We are looking for a Contracts Manager/ Quantity Surveyor to work on a permanent basis and we would love to hear from you if you have the following skills:
- Financial cost analysis of projects
- Surveying large projects
- Construction phase plans
- Programme of works
- Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve
- Attending pre-construction meetings with clients
- Agreeing on timescales, costs, and resources needed to deliver a project
- Drawing up detailed plans to achieve each stage of a project
- Negotiating with contractors and suppliers
- Overseeing several projects at the same time
- Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget, and to a high standard
- Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders
- Resolving any issues or delays
- Meeting HSE regulations and protocols throughout all sites and following company protocols
- Meeting with Site Managers to ensure they are clear on all aspects of the project
- Communicating with staff at all levels
