We are seeking an Accounts Administrator to work for our client - a well-established construction company. Reporting to the Head of Finance and alongside the office support team, the primary focus of the role is to assist with the smooth running of the finance department, processing high volume and sometimes high value invoices. Accuracy and logic is the top priority of this role and takes precedence over all other responsibilities. Alongside this, the role supports the office team who run the day-to-day operations including fleet management and office management. This role is critical to the continued growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing of invoices, including approximately 100 + subcontractor invoices per week which will sometimes come under the CIS scheme (Construction Industry Scheme).
- Working with the Head of finance to ensure all invoices are submitted to the systems (Simpro and Sage) and updating systems as required.
- Using logic and good sense to problem solve and work through information.
- Laise with line managers to gather information and gain sign off for payments.
- Support fleet management when the fleet manager is away.
- Support office operations as required.
Person specification:
- Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) payments is essential to this role.
- Experience of processing high volume invoices.
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to problem solve.
- A good level of financial knowledge.
- Ideally educated within a financial or accountancy subject.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – either 8am – 4pm, or 9am – 5pm in the office in Verwood.
