This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic quality and overall condition of the property, ensuring all guest and back-of-house areas reflect the high standards of the Miiro brand. Key Responsibilities- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and fixtures.
- Carry out regular inspections to identify areas requiring touch-ups or repainting.
- Ensure all painting work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail and consistency.
- Maintain and care for painting tools, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team and other departments to schedule work with minimal disruption to guests.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of materials.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks when required.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and report any maintenance issues observed.
- Previous experience as a painter, preferably within hospitality or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team.
