As a Senior Project Controller, you will work directly with client project teams, programme managers and senior stakeholders to establish and maintain effective project controls frameworks. You will provide critical insight into project performance, enabling informed decision‑making and successful delivery of complex programmes. This is a client‑facing consulting role offering the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries and high‑profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using industry‑standard planning tools.
  • Lead project planning and scheduling activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project performance against baseline schedules, budgets and key milestones.
  • Produce accurate forecasting, earned value analysis and performance reporting.
  • Identify schedule risks, delays and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate project governance, reporting and stakeholder review meetings.
  • Establish and improve project control processes, standards and methodologies.
  • Support programme and portfolio‑level reporting and performance management.
  • Provide risk and issue management oversight.
  • Mentor and support junior Project Controllers and PMO professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Significant experience in Project Controls, PMO, Project Planning or Programme Controls environments.
  • Strong expertise in schedule management and project performance reporting.
  • Experience working on large, complex projects or programmes.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience presenting project performance information to senior management.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced consulting and client‑facing environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Aerospace, Defence, Engineering, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Energy or Technology sector experience.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise.
  • Risk management and quantitative analysis experience.
  • PMO leadership experience.
  • Professional certifications such as APM, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
