Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex Defence projects from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and cost objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and budget tracking.
- Monitor project performance, report on progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary to meet project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives.
- Coordinate with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Manage project documentation, including technical specifications, compliance reports, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure projects adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards specific to the Defence industry.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise project processes and outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in project management, preferably within the Defence, Aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Defence product development processes, engineering principles, and quality management systems.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
