As our client portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for a Project Planner to join our consulting team, supporting major projects across North London and Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with project planning or scheduling experience who are looking to develop their career within a specialist project management consultancy.

The Role

As a Project Planner, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Controls teams, and senior stakeholders to develop, maintain, and optimise project schedules that drive successful project delivery. You will be responsible for creating robust plans, analysing project performance, identifying risks to delivery, and providing key planning insights that support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules
  • Creating and managing project plans, baselines, and critical paths
  • Monitoring progress against milestones and delivery targets
  • Producing schedule analysis and performance reports
  • Supporting project risk and opportunity assessments
  • Identifying schedule variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure planning assumptions remain accurate and achievable
  • Supporting project governance and reporting activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement within project planning and controls processes

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Previous experience in project planning, scheduling, project controls, PMO, or project coordination
  • Experience using planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent
  • An understanding of project lifecycles and project delivery methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • The ability to work in fast-paced and complex project environments
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in project delivery
