Senior Production Manager (Scenic Construction)

Senior Production Manager (scenic construction production) £65,000 – £75,000 per annum Bonus scheme 28 days holiday – plus bank holidays Location – South East London (this is an office-based role) Permanent role As the Senior Production Manager, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, production timeline schedules and project delivery. Duties: Develop and implement strategic plans for workshop operations Oversee all workshop operations including metal work, carpentry, scenic art, and general workshop activities Create and maintain production standards and quality control processes Develop and maintain production schedules and resource allocation plans predicting shortfalls Monitor and control operational costs and budgets Collaborate with Project Management Director to ensure aligned delivery approaches Manage resource allocation across projects Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and challenges Develop comprehensive skills matrices to identify talent gaps Manage performance and development of all direct reports, implementing structured performance review processes focused on skills development Experience: Relevant experience in a senior production or operations role Experience of leading a team Experience working within a production-focused organisation / industry sector (desirable) Understanding of workshop processes and techniques Strong leadership, strategic planning and business development skills
