Job Description

Electronics / Audio Visual Hardware Repair Technician (LED focused)

Slough – based in the AV Hub onsite at Head Office

Salary £40,000 – £55,000 DOE

Full time Permanent role

Monday – Friday (Part time hours will be considered)

Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair small and micro-electronic components in LED display technology
  • Operate variable temperature soldering stations and hot air soldering tools to carry out component-level repair work
  • Adhere to and maintain all required health and safety standards and certifications
  • Perform PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and EAT (Electrical Appliance Testing) where required
  • Follow defined quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes to ensure consistent service standards across all repair work
  • Work independently to manage repair tasks while maintaining communication with the team leader for parts, spares, and workflow updates
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and completed work in line with 80six documentation standards
  • Contribute to repair tracking through the use of worksheets, databases, or Microsoft Excel tools (training can be provided)
  • Be flexible with working hours to support project delivery schedules, including extended hours when required
  • Share technical knowledge and skills with other team members to support coverage during absences or increased workloads

Experience:

  • Proven experience in micro-electronics diagnostics and component-level repair, particularly in LED display systems
  • Full understanding of health and safety compliance and certifications relevant to electronics repair work
  • Competency in PAT/EAT testing or willingness to undertake relevant training
  • Familiarity with QA/QC practices and ability to adhere to predefined service and repair workflows
  • Experience using precision soldering tools, including variable temperature irons and hot air guns
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, while maintaining coordination with team leads
