MIES Facilities Management Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire & Security and Emergency Lighting Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves working across a variety of sites carrying out installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems. This is a field-based role offering door-to-door pay, overtime opportunities, and ongoing training, providing long-term career stability within a professional and supportive team.

Installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
Installation and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
Installation, servicing, and fault finding of intruder alarm systems
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
Ensure all work complies with relevant fire safety standards and regulations
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Liaise with clients and internal teams when required
Maintain a professional approach while representing the company on client sites
Essential Qualifications
- FIA Units 1 & 2 (Fire Industry Association)
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) – Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671
- Additional Fire & Security industry certifications
- Experience working within commercial and retail environments
- Knowledge of current fire safety and electrical regulations
£34,000 – £40,000 salary depending on experience
