We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (Role Split: ~70% Sales & Business Development // ~30% Internal coordination & brand awareness activities) to support our growth. The new joiner will start his/her career in Miebach to collaborate with clients and project teams to enable supply chain transformations, understanding Clients current operational challenges, identifying main pain points, defining and developing solutions, and supporting implementation activities. This role presents an excellent career opportunity to identify and nurture supply chain business opportunities in multiple industries in an international environment. This position requires domestic travel depending on opportunity requirements.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Drive New Business Growth: Identify, target, and win new clients and enter new industries across the UK market. Build a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, partnerships, and industry events.
- Own the Full Sales Cycle: Manage opportunities from first contact to signed engagement. Qualify deals effectively, maintain momentum, and lead negotiations to successful closure.
- Consultative Solution Selling: Engage senior supply chain and operations leaders to understand their challenges and shape value-driven consulting solutions in collaboration with Miebach’s consulting teams.
- Lead Commercial Strategy & support Proposals: Drive pricing, and commercial alignment. Support proposal development, the presentation and defence of proposals confidently at executive level.
- Contribute to UK Market Growth: Represent Miebach in the market, build relationships with senior stakeholders (COO, Supply Chain Director, Logistics Director, etc.), and contribute to strategic sector growth initiatives.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field will be appreciated. MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- 10–15+ years of proven business development experience within consultancy or professional services, with a strong focus on new business (“hunter” profile) in the UK market.
- Demonstrated success selling complex, high-value, project-based services (typically ÂŁ100k+ engagements), managing multiple active opportunities, and closing mid-to-large deals.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse design/automation, operational transformation, or engineering-led consulting solutions or 3pl contract acquisitions.
- Strong commercial acumen including pricing, margin awareness, and negotiation at senior executive level.
- Established network of UK supply chain and logistics decision-makers, with credibility in the market.
- Strategic, results-driven mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
- Proficiency in English. German, French, Spanish or other languages highly valuable.
