Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellence in teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including module leadership.
- Supervise student projects and research activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Biomedical and Biological science programmes.
- Support teaching teams on related programmes within the School of Applied Sciences.
- Engage in teaching best‑practice development and inclusive assessment design.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Human Genetics, Molecular Cell Biology or a closely related field.
- Experience as a senior lecturer and as a module leader.
- Demonstrated excellence and expertise in Human Genetics and Molecular Cell Biology (ideally including genomics).
- Experience in supporting undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in higher education.
- Basic working knowledge of bioinformatics, NCBI databases and primer design.
- Evidence of inclusive teaching and assessment skills.
- Ability to communicate employability‑related skills and foster diversity, equity and inclusion.
Workplace: Based primarily on campus with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
