We're looking for an experienced Printworks Team Leader to lead our print production team and ensure the delivery of high-quality print services across the University. In this varied role, you'll manage a team of Print Technicians, coordinate print production workflows from pre‑press through to finishing, provide expert advice to internal customers, liaise with external suppliers for any ad hoc outsourced work, and support continuous improvement within the service. You'll play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service standards, managing resources effectively, and supporting the development of your team.
Health & Safety
Health and safety is a fundamental part of this role. You’ll be responsible for promoting safe working practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, and helping to maintain a safe working environment for staff operating print production, finishing, and workshop equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in print production and finishing operations.
- Good organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience supervising staff and working with pre‑press software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with digital print presses, wide‑format printing, print finishing equipment, and design software such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator (advantageous).
Location
This role is based on campus for all your time at UWE Bristol, Frenchay Campus.
