About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and technically minded Warehouse Technician to join our Warehouse team based at our Southern Office. This role is responsible for supporting the testing, preparation and maintenance of professional video equipment used within live events, ensuring equipment is ready for deployment and returned to stock in excellent condition.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will help develop testing processes, support fault diagnosis and provide technical guidance to warehouse operatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology and problem-solving. Whilst experience with professional video equipment would be advantageous, we are keen to hear from candidates with transferable technical skills and a willingness to learn, as training will be provided on our specialist equipment and systems.

What you will be doing in this role

  • Supporting the testing, preparation and de-prep of professional video equipment for live events.
  • Carrying out technical checks including fault diagnosis, configuration checks, firmware updates and troubleshooting.
  • Recording accurate technical information relating to equipment condition, faults and repair requirements.
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of testing processes for new and existing video equipment.
  • Creating practical testing guidance and procedures for warehouse operatives.
  • Supporting the introduction of new equipment by helping define test procedures and acceptance standards.
  • Providing training and day-to-day technical support to warehouse operatives.
  • Monitoring adherence to testing procedures and providing guidance where required.
  • Maintaining knowledge of specialist equipment, including LED processing systems, video switching equipment, projectors and lenses.
  • Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and service partners regarding repairs, servicing, technical support and warranty issues.
  • Supporting safe working practices and ensuring testing and handling procedures comply with company standards.
  • Assist with ad-hoc warehouse duties where needed.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience working within a warehouse, technical, AV, broadcast, live events, engineering or equipment preparation environment.
  • Experience testing, preparing, checking or maintaining equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to fault-finding.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with colleagues across the warehouse team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • The ability to follow processes and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to support during busy periods

Desirable experience

  • Professional video equipment used within live event environments.
  • LED processing systems, including Brompton and NovaStar.
  • Video switching, control and signal distribution equipment.
  • Projectors, lenses and associated setup requirements, including Epson equipment.
  • Supporting or training colleagues on technical processes.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding repairs, servicing and warranty claims.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
