About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially focused Sales Manager to join our Lighting team, driving revenue growth, market penetration, and brand presence across our professional lighting portfolio within the live events, entertainment and installation sectors.

You’ll manage a defined customer base, proactively identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong trade relationships, and deliver engaging product demonstrations that support sales across the full lighting range.

  • What you will be doing in this role
  • Own and develop sales activity within an assigned territory, taking responsibility for identifying, managing, and converting opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage sales opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and needs analysis through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Plan and conduct regular, structured visits to new and existing accounts across production, events, rental, venue, and integration customers, with a clear focus on opportunity development and pipeline growth.
  • Actively prospect new trade customers, dormant accounts, and project opportunities within the territory.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by understanding customer workflows, projects, and business objectives.
  • Maintain a relationship with key influencers in the entertainment lighting market, working with suppliers, lighting designers, consultants and key clients.
  • Deliver persuasive technical demonstrations of the full product range, either independently or in collaboration with the Lighting Technical Team for complex or specialist requirements.
  • Ensure consistent, professional brand and product representation within the dealer and contractor network, acting as a trusted commercial and technical partner.
  • Develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and clear visibility of opportunities and revenue outlook.
  • Provide regular sales insight, market feedback, and competitor intelligence to management, supporting pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support the wider lighting strategy through structured reporting, forecasting, and contribution to sales planning.
  • Represent the company and its brands at trade shows, open days, training events, and industry networking functions to support lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, time management, and customer service across all commercial interactions.
  • What you will bring to the role
  • Experience working in the entertainment lighting industry (e. g., production company, touring, venue, manufacturer, or distributor).
  • Experience in sales, field sales, or account management within a B2B or trade-focused environment.
  • Experience managing a customer base or defined sales territory with commercial objectives.
  • Experience working with professional lighting products.
  • Strong understanding of professional entertainment lighting products and applications.
  • Knowledge of competitors and wider market trends in entertainment lighting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer needs and convert interest into sales opportunities.
  • Flexibility to work away from home as part of project delivery or event support.
  • Full and clean UK driving licence.
