About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking Site Fitter / HGV Class 2 Driver to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role combining driving, site work, and installation duties across various locations in the UK. This position involves working away from home regularly, with accommodation and allowances provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Load, secure (strap), and unload materials/equipment
- Use HIAB (training can be provided if required)
- Carry out on-site fitting and general labouring duties
- Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor
- Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and is completed fully
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations (SSOW/RAMS)
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times
- Maintain a professional appearance in company uniform
- Use mobile technology for timekeeping, expenses, and reporting
- Assist supervisors with site-related tasks where required
- Be flexible with occasional night and weekend work
- Maintain excellent timekeeping and communication
Requirements
- HGV Class 2 licence (essential)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience in loading/unloading and securing loads
- HIAB experience (preferred, training available)
- Willingness to work away from home regularly
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good understanding of site safety practices

- EUSR (Water & Gas)
- CSCS / CPCS / ALLMI
- PASMA
- FLT licence
- First Aid at Work
