About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our team, specialising in Zinc and Aluminium die-casting tooling. In this hands-on role, you will manufacture, modify, and maintain tooling to support production and ensure high-quality output. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with precision, and seeing the tangible results of their craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, modify, and maintain die-casting tooling for Zinc and Aluminium components.
  • Interpret and work from 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
  • Support production teams by ensuring tooling is operational and optimised.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve tooling issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to improve tooling performance and component quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of tooling modifications and maintenance.
  • Suggest improvements for tooling processes, designs, and efficiency.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven toolmaking or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • Experience in die casting, injection moulding, or press tooling is advantageous.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and methodical in approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
