Responsibilities

The AV Technician is responsible for implementation of systems our clients use with pride and confidence. Accountabilities may include:

  • Installation of audio-visual equipment
    • Mounted in racks
    • Mounted on the wall
    • Installed from the ceiling, unistrut or I-beams
    • Installed in table-cubbies or credenzas
  • Installation of infrastructure to support AV equipment
    • Threaded rod/Unistrut
    • Low-voltage electrical boxes
    • Surface or in-wall raceways and conduits
  • Running/terminating low-voltage cables to support AV systems
  • Use of ladders, hand tools and electrical tools
  • Use of lifts
  • Reading and understanding plans
    • Floor plans
    • Reflected ceiling plans
    • Schematic diagrams

Benefits (continued): After a 90 day review period, Midtown Video offers full time employees 5 paid personal days and 7 paid holidays per year. Health insurance is provided at no cost to the employee after the review period, with Dental and Vision available to purchase at a marginal rate. Policies are also available for purchase for spouses and children. After 1 year of employment, a SEP-IRA retirement matching program is offered, as well as additional paid vacation time in increasing amounts with tenure at the company.
