Role: Trust Central Team Administrator – Governance & Statutory Compliance
Location: Trust Head Office, Knobsbury Lane, Writhlington, Radstock
Start Date: 1st September 2026 (an earlier start date can be negotiated by mutual agreement)
Hours: 25 per week, Monday - Friday - (hours are negotiable and will be discussed at interview) PREFERENCE TO BE MADE IN APPLICATION.
Salary: Grade 6 and scale point range 18 - 22, £16.35 - £17.47, full time equivalent £31,557 - £33,699 (actual annual salary £24,171 - £25,811)
Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership is seeking an organised, proactive and highly skilled Trust Central Team Administrator – Governance & Statutory Compliance to join our central team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced educational environment and has a passion for high-quality administration, governance, compliance and supporting effective decision-making across a multi-academy trust.
Working closely with the Trust Admin Lead, school leaders, governors and trustees, you will play a key role in ensuring the Trust’s governance structures, statutory responsibilities and administrative systems operate effectively.
You will provide expert administrative support, guidance and coordination across governance, admissions, compliance and wider Trust operations, helping to maintain the highest standards of accountability and effectiveness.
About the role
As the Trust Central Team Administrator, you will:
- Support the delivery of effective governance across the Trust, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including safeguarding, education legislation and website obligations.
- Provide advice and guidance to governors, trustees, clerks and school leaders on governance procedures, documentation and best practice.
- Coordinate governor recruitment, induction, training and development, supporting succession planning and diverse representation across governance structures.
- Prepare governance documentation including agendas, reports, policies, guidance materials, terms of reference and schemes of delegation.
- Provide high-level clerking support for key meetings, panels and hearings, including executive panels, complaints, exclusions and reviews where required.
- Support governance reviews, audits and monitoring activities to ensure continued improvement.
- Maintain governance systems, portals and records, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
- Support the Trust’s admissions processes, including consultation arrangements, policy compliance and liaison with Local Authorities.
- Contribute to Trust-wide projects, including onboarding new schools, developing processes and improving administrative systems.
- Support statutory information returns, compliance reporting and the preparation of reports for Trustees and senior leaders.

- Digitally confident, with strong skills using platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft applications and emerging AI tools to improve efficiency.
- A positive team player who takes initiative and enjoys finding solutions.
