We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Adviser to join our Central HR Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional to play a key role in shaping a high-performing people-focused culture across our Trust. As an integral member of the team you will provide professional consistent solution-focused HR advice and support to headteachers, senior leaders and managers across our schools. You’ll deliver expert guidance on all aspects of employee relations, HR policy and employment law ensuring that our practices align with both legislative requirements and the Trust's strategic priorities. This is a varied and rewarding role for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and enjoys working across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear pragmatic advice on employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance cases.
  • Coach and support school leaders through complex HR processes ensuring consistency and fairness across the Trust.
  • Advise on employment law and Trust policies, liaising with legal advisers as required.
  • Support HR compliance including safer recruitment, data protection and maintaining accurate records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to policy development, organisational change initiatives and HR projects such as restructures, redundancies and TUPE.
  • Develop and deliver HR-related training to school leaders and staff.
  • Promote staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives across the Trust.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of HR service delivery.

About You

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 desirable) or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial generalist HR experience ideally within a medium or large multi-site organisation.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations cases and advising on complex HR issues.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR best practice and ACAS guidance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • High professional standards and integrity with a commitment to safeguarding and equality.
  • Willing and able to travel to different sites across the Trust as required.
  • Experience within the education sector or with trade unions/collective consultation would be an advantage.
